Rental policy:

  • CLEANING: All costume pieces must be returned clean and free of stains and body odor.  Anything returned will be assessed and an additional cleaning fee of $35 will be charged if required.
  • ALTERATIONS: Rental items must be returned in their original condition. Costumes may NOT be cut, dyed, painted or altered without written permission from Clothing from Italy. Tape, iron-on, bonding-web, glue or any other type of adhesives may NOT be used on costumes. If a costume is returned altered or damaged, fees will be charged.  
  • DEPOSITS: All rentals require a security deposit. The standard security deposit rate is 30% of the total rental and is to be charged with the rental fee prior to shipping. And it should be submitted via email transfer will be credited via email transfer when the rental is complete (all items returned in proper condition).
  • LATE RETURN FEES: Our rental fees are determined on a per piece basis. If the rental time exceeds the agreed upon rental period, a charge of 20% of the total rental will be added for each additional day. If additional rescheduling of a rental period is required, please contact Clothing from Italy LLC as soon as possible. Rescheduling must be approved for late fees not to occur.
  • RESTOCKING FEES: Any rental requiring the pulling/shipping of costumes that are cancelled prior to the completion of the rental agreement will have an automatic $40 fee.
  • DAMAGED COSTUME FEES: Normal wear and tear on costumes are expected and won’t incur extra charges. Damage beyond normal wear and tear will incur extra charges. Damage charges will be assessed for broken zippers, detached garment pieces, make-up or other permanent stains or any other damage that renders the costume not rentable. It includes the cost of the supplies needed to restore the garment to its original state as well as labor costs. Major damage to costumes, including irreparable tears, or irreversible marks will be assessed at the replacement value of the costume. 
  • LOST ITEM FEES: Lost costumes will be assessed with a lost costume fee of the replacement value of the costume.
  • RETURN RENTAL DATE: The return date is calculated by your production closing date (or last competition date) plus ten calendar days to allow you cleaning and packaging time. Additional time will be priced as described in “Late return fees”.
  • DISCLAIMER: Clothing from Italy LLC and its employees are not responsible for accidents or injuries related directly or indirectly from the use of the rented item.

Custom made item policy:

Online order process:

Once you have decided on the material, size, and any other additional information, the order can be processed. Since all items are made to order, a full deposit fee is required before we can begin production. Please note when ordering online your order is not complete until Clothing from Italy confirms your order via e-mail. Contact us once you are ready to confirm your order.

In store measurement agreement:

During the in store measurement taking process, customer would have to sign an agreement in which they have reviewed the size, color and material of the custom made item before we, Clothing from Italy, could continue with the order.

Delivery/ Lead time:

Custom made suit and tuxedo will take approximately 5 weeks to complete. Additional time might be needed for alteration if necessary. However Clothing from Italy will not guaranty any specific delivery time for custom made items.

If customer require the custom made suit or tuxedo to be complete before the 5 weeks’ timeframe, Clothing from Italy will not be responsible for any further alterations.


Clothing from Italy will only provide maximum 2 alterations to make sure the custom made item would perfectly fit the customer. Once the customer approved the item, all additional alterations will be extra charge.

Rush order:

All rush orders must be approved, prior to ordering.

Return & Exchanges Policy

Clothing from Italy wants to make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase. Clothing from Italy will not refund but  will accept to exchange merchandise if in good condition and if not used but not return merchandise. Merchandise can be exchanged for the same value only if in original condition within 30 days of purchase date supplemented or accompanied by the original receipt. 

The following may not be returned or exchanged but we will provide alterations services: Custom made suits, monogrammed or altered merchandise; Special Order and Custom made or made to measure clothing.

Exchanges require photo identification for all in-store merchandise returns. If your cash return is greater than $100.00, a company-issued check* will be mailed to you.

Clothing from Italy is not liable for any delay in shipping or delivery of merchandise.

Price Adjustment Policy

Price adjustments will be made within 7 days of original purchase date with original receipt. Items during select promotional periods will not be subject to a price adjustment.

Domestic - Easy Returns

Option 1: For orders placed online  

1.  Contact us to receive our shipping label

2.  Drop your package anywhere in the U.S. Mail — at home, at work or at the Post Office.
A $25.00 will be deducted from your order refund for return postage. The original shipping & handling charge, however, is non-refundable.  

Option 2: For orders placed in a store,

1.Contact us to receive our shipping label

2.  Affix the label to the return package covering the original label.

3.  Drop your package anywhere in the U.S. Mail — at home, at work or at the Post Office.

Option 3: Return on your own

1.  Attach label from the front of your invoice to the exchange package or send your item to 46 Bromfield Street Boston.

2.  You pay the postage to any delivery service of your choice.

The information on the Site may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies and may not be complete or current.
